Delete your account

1. Delete it in the app

1. Open Mistify and go to your profile.
2. Open the menu (top right) to get to Settings.
3. Tap Delete Account, then Confirm.
4. If you signed in with Apple, confirm once more with Apple when asked. This lets us revoke Mistify’s access to your Apple ID.

2. Or ask us by email

If you can’t use the app, email support@mistify.app with “Delete my account” in the subject, from the email address linked to your account, or telling us the username it uses. We may ask you to confirm it’s you, and we delete the account within one month.

A banned account can’t be deleted in the app. Email us and we will explain what we can delete and what we have to keep.

3. What is deleted

Everything, straight away:

• your profile: name, username, photo, bio, date of birth and gender;
• your posts, with their photos, videos and locations;
• your comments, likes, dislikes, views and follows;
• your space memberships and the messages you sent in space chats;
• your direct message conversations, for both people;
• reports you made, and your moderation record;
• your sign-in account and your devices’ notification tokens.

Copies in our database backups are overwritten within 7 days. It can’t be undone.

4. What we have to keep

Only material the law requires us to keep, such as content we have reported to the National Crime Agency, for as long as the law requires, and our record of any complaint you made, for 2 years after it closed. Copies other people saved or shared outside Mistify are out of our control. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
